Isn't one of the best things about teaching providing a good service to students/pupils, and not about money?

if you don't feel pionate about it you shouldn't do it but if that was an inforced rule most schools would have few teachers! teaching is about given but i gaurantee 10 years in the job and you will feel different, the work load i.e paper work and reports and if you become mngmt you dont have much time for the given back to society thing, there is so much planning and marking and twighlight sessions etc, it is exhausting, which is why the teaching proffession has the highest stress rate (fact). the main thing should be quality teaching both academic and moral but believe me when you look at industry , same level of qualifications etc , teaching becomes very tough, and the pay as much as you say you dont care becomes a major factor when you cant afford a holiday with your wife and two children because all the holiday s double/treble in price when the school holidays come. i work 50 hours a week but get paid for 32?? thats a pain, no overtime etc
