Does my partner love me or am I being too ytical?

When I finish talking to my boyfriend on the phone I say that i love him, but he doesn't say it back. Conversely, when we see each other he kiss me, we have intimacy, and he says "he loves me" (though less than we first met.) I was just wondering if maybe he's just wants to get off the phone or if he just doesn't care or love me anymore?
