Reason For Leaving?!?!?!?

I left my last job 2 years ago, and I have not worked since. My true reason was most importantly my father was fatally ill I mean seriously, he went to hospital and was basically given 2 weeks to live and sent home. My mom worked third shift and I have a younger sister. The job was a hour away and I was also pregnant, stressed and depressed I mean I would go to work crying and I was a CSR with inbound calls(so all of that was not good) so I quit my job like the third week in that April and my dad died June 1. So what do I say is my reason for leaving, because I feel like that job is why I cant find new work, because I left so abruptly and without giving a 2 weeks notice. And is there anything I can do.
