Possible to go up the defrost drain line?

If I dusted behind the fridge, and along the floor beside it, with boric acid powder to kill bug invaders, would it be possible for this powder to waft up the defrost drain line into the fridge and contaminate the food in the fridge. To contaminate the food in the freezer, which is on the bottom of the fridge?
