Have you ever had Shingles?

I haven't had them but I hear it's very painful. I read in the Sunday paper, that there is a vaccine out, for people who have had Shingles & for those who have had Chickenpox but haven't gotten Shingles as of yet. A person can get Shingles more than once, hence the vaccine. This vaccine has been out since 2006, but I wonder why some doctors are not advising their patients to get it? I'm going to check into this matter with my doctor today. Will you be doing the same & soon? Once a person has Chickenpox, the virus remains in the body, making one susceptible to getting Shingles. Thought you'd like to know.
