A girl was thrown out of a somersaulting vehicle. She died instantly. Was her spirit/soul hanging around?

Did she see her lifeless body? I alighted from my car and covered her lifeless body with a piece of cloth. Did she see me? Is the spirit/soul of the dead whisked away immediately one dies?
